Managing Your time
Brian Tracy said ‘Time is the greatest resources in life! Therefore time is not replaceable, retrievable, reversible, etc.
If you often can’t get things done or you procrastinate – put off doing what you should do – you may want to practice time management.
Time management is probably not a skill you will learn in school. It is up to you to acquire the skill, even as you up.
STEPS IN THE PROCESS:
1. Turn big jobs into smaller jobs. When you are faced with a major project or some other important task; don’t look at it as one big job. Break it down into smaller, more manageable parts.
2. Keep a weekly schedule: A weekly planner shows you at a glance what you have coming up and help you plan ahead for the activities. Design your plan to meet your personal needs.
3, Make a ‘Daily List: write down things you need to do today and must do tomorrow. Number them in order of importance, then cross each item off once completed.
4. Plan your study time realistically: Fifteen to twenty minutes time slot to study followed by a five-minute break works well for most students.
5. Keep a flexible schedule; Plans change and new things pop up unexpectedly. Be realistic and willing to change those events that needed to be changed to achieve your goals.
